About Spirulina

Spirulina is a blue-green algae, also called cyanobacteria. Its scientific name is arthrospira platensis. Spirulina's common names are Dihe and Tecuitlatl. Spirilulina is only found in high salt alkaline water. The most common types of spirulina are Spirulina maxima and Spirulina pratensis and it is related to chlorella algae. It is concentrated nutritional source and has been consumed for years due to its high concentration of natural nutrients.
